How to register your team for an event

Before you start

To register a team you will need:

• A RoboRAVE ID (RRID) for yourself and for every student and coach on the team.
• The team name, its institution and its country.
• A payment method: card or PayPal account, or a bank transfer.

Tip: if someone on the team does not have an RRID yet, create it first in the RoboRAVE ID section. It is free and takes a minute.

Sign in

1. Open the event page and click Register and pay or Register a team.
2. Sign in with your email. If you do not have an account yet, the system asks you to register first and then brings you back to the same place.

Choose the event and the challenge

1. Confirm the event your team will compete in.
2. Choose the challenge. Each event sets how many challenges a team can pick; the screen tells you.
3. If the event allows more than one challenge and charges for additional ones, you will see the amount before continuing.

Choose the division

For each challenge, select the team's division (for example ES, MS, HS or UP) according to the age of its members.

Team, students and coach

1. Team: search for yours by name or RRTID, or create a new one. The RRTID is permanent and follows the team to every event.
2. Students: add each one by typing their RRID. To protect minors, students are only found by exact RRID.
3. Coach: add at least one coach with their RRID.

Important: the team must meet the minimum and maximum number of members set by the event. If someone is missing, the system tells you.

Summary and payment

1. Review the summary: event, challenge, division and members.
2. If you have a coupon, type it and click Apply.
3. Click Confirm and continue to payment and choose PayPal or bank transfer.

Payment per person or per team?

Each event states how it charges. With per-person payment the price is per participant (students and coaches); with per-team payment it is a single fee for the whole team. You will see it on the event page and in the summary.

After paying

• With PayPal confirmation is immediate.
• With a transfer, send your receipt; the event team reviews it and confirms your registration.
• Only a team in Confirmed status is officially registered. You can see the status in My account.
